Just It GmbH develops and implements solar-powered water and industrial ice infrastructure in West Africa. Our work combines technology designed and engineered in Germany with hands-on project experience and local operating teams in Senegal.
From water treatment and desalination to distribution networks and industrial ice production, we bring together the technical, commercial and operational capabilities needed to turn infrastructure into lasting services.
HOW WE WORK
Just It GmbH, based in Berlin, coordinates project development, technical integration and financing partnerships.
Blissful Company SARL, our Senegalese operating company, manages local water distribution and industrial ice production. Its teams handle daily operations, customer relationships and maintenance.
We work with German technology partner Boreal Light GmbH to implement systems adapted to local requirements.

Background:
In his capacity as Quality Manager in Manufacturing, his key responsibilities include ensuring the quality and efficiency of water treatment systems, while driving improvement in installation standards.
Enrico Scharrenberg
Co-Founder / GM
Background:
As an entrepreneur specialising in renewable energies and social entrepreneurship, he brings 20 years of intercultural experience living and working across Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. In his role as General Manager, he is responsible for the company's growth, overseeing operations, managing all processes and the team, and ensuring effective collaboration among all specialists.

Background:
As a Mechanical Engineer in Machine Construction, his primary focus is on designing, developing, and optimising water treatment systems for our projects, ensuring efficient installation.
Matthias Duchscherer
Partner
Background:
As a Lieutenant Colonel (Army Reserve), primary area of interest lies in civil-military interaction, while as a communication scientist he focuses on intercultural communications.
Matthias comprises of a comprehensive perspective and understanding of the current challenges in a hybrid world.
He lived and worked in African countries for more than 15 years.

Enrico leads project development, financing partnerships and expansion. He brings 20 years of intercultural experience across Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, combining entrepreneurship with practical experience in renewable energy and essential infrastructure.

Matthias brings more than 15 years of experience living and working in African countries. With a background in communication science and civil-military interaction, he contributes regional understanding and expertise in intercultural collaboration.
DAMIEN GAUTHIER SAMBOU
Country Operations & Ice Plant Manager
Damien manages our industrial ice plant in Ziguinchor and coordinates field operations across Senegal. Working closely with the Managing Director, he identifies potential project locations, engages with communities and organises procurement and on-site implementation across our water and ice projects.
JIMMY ALBERT SAGNA
Water Operations & Quality
Jimmy oversees water operations and quality, coordinating work on our local distribution infrastructure. He supports reliable service delivery through close collaboration with technical teams and the communities we serve.
JEAN-LOUIS DIEDHIOU
Community Manager
Jean-Louis manages community relationships in the Casamance, connecting residents with our operating teams. He supports communication around water services and helps bring local needs into project implementation and daily operations.
MAMADOU FAYE
Legal & Administrative Affairs
Mamadou is a lawyer overseeing legal matters, licensing and official administrative procedures for our projects in Senegal. Based in Dakar, he coordinates engagement with ministries and OFOR, Senegal’s rural water agency, and handles procurement and other project requirements in the capital.
